Please Help! I'm scared

Okay so i've had my braces for about 8 years. I did my routine check ups up until about 4 years ago. However i still took care of my teeth. So i stumbled across this this morning and im very afraid of it. Is it a dead tooth, damaged? It's the green looking residue if you guys can see. Please help me!

P.S. Getting my braces removed in December
