After Extraction

I had a cracked tooth and the dentist said it would need to be removed. He took the tooth out ( bottom left molar ) but now I can't get my denture back in ( top ) as the tooth next to the extraction site has raised up and quite painful. I would not be able to bite down on it even i got my teeth in.
Taking paracetamol every 4 hours. It has been a week. Do I wait or contact them with my concerns ?

I think contact them with your concerns. There is a chance that the adjacent tooth also has an issue or was damaged during the extraction, if it was a difficult extraction.
