Is the root of this tooth broken?

Hello,

My dentist told me that this tooth should be extracted because the root is broken, however a second dentist told me it is not clear that is broken. I don't have pain nor inflammation so I now wonder what to do. Can you see drom this x-ray that is really broken and should be extracted? I would really appreciate some advice. Thanks a lot!

I can't interpret your x ray but I have been told that a broken root is excruciatingly painful.
