Early detection?

If regular dental checkups every 6 months somehow failed to detect a sealant which was either failing or about to fail before a cavity developed underneath it, what might this mean? If nothing abnormal was detected and a cavity developed, what does this mean?

Not sure what you are trying to ask about? Negligence on the part of the dentist or what?
A lot of times a small cavity can develop in between normal 6-monthly check-ups. It all depends on the oral hygiene habits of the patient at home.

So youre telling me that 6 month dental checkups dont guarantee that a cavity wont happen between? So will 6 month dental checkups be able to prevent or catch the early stages/warning signs of a flaky dental sealant that might need to be reapplied all over again? Its just luck then...

If the clinical and radiological exam is done every 6 months, then you should be able to detect the early signs of any cavity or carious lesion under a filling forming. Sometimes, x-rays are not done 6 monthly and only once a year.

But can any of this guarantee that a cavity wont develop underneath sealant?

But if all of this is done can it detect a faulty sealant before a cavity has the chance to develop underneath it or can this be missed in the sense that between 6 month intervals it can still occur hence it wasnt caught in the early stages...?

The sealant can crack if not done properly or due to normal wear and tear and then start leaking any time in between your regular visits.

Bacterial accumulation can take place immediately as soon as there is a faulty area on the sealant.

Give me your professional opinion please, please... would it be a good idea to brush our teeth in the morning and immediately after use act fluoride mouthwash right after? Like this,
