Biting cheek 10 days after root canal

I had a root canal on #31 ten days ago over and since then my teeth on that side are biting my cheek when I eat and even my speech is a little off. When I told my endodontist he said that it’s normal and likely just swelling.

Can you please tell me if swelling can do this? I’ve had root canals before and never experienced this issue.

Did the shape of the tooth change at all? Sometimes if the shape of the tooth crown is changed dramatically, the bite can change and then it takes a while to get used to the new bite.
