What is a root canal?

Mar 10, 2023
A root canal is a dental procedure performed by a dentist to treat a damaged tooth. This procedure involves removing damaged or infected pulp from inside the tooth, cleaning, and disinfecting the root canal.

When the pulp becomes infected or damaged due to tooth decay, trauma, or other causes, it can cause severe pain, sensitivity, and swelling. If left untreated, the infection can spread to surrounding tissues and cause serious problems.

This kind of dental problem is usually treated with the root canal method.
