Early this week I had my molar (#18) extracted after years of problems with the tooth. I did everything that the dentist said to do to make sure it would heal. I have had no pain after the first day, until today. The tooth next to it (#17) hurts real bad and the pain is slowly spreading along my mouth. I am scared that he may have pulled the wrong tooth or that an infection has set in. Also if it is possible for your bite to be slightly off after having a tooth pulled. I ask this because since I had the tooth pulled the first molar (#17) is laying directly under my tongue and is cutting in to it.

Hmmm it might be possible in your case, would request you to take a second opinion or undergo thorough check up to know the exact cause of pain.
