No patients for me as a junior dentist

I am a junior dentist and no patient want to come to me. I am very sad. All my university friends do have a lot of patients and I am doing nothing because every patient wants to go to the senior dentist and to me. Did you have the same experience in your starting career and what did you do?

You will have to build up confidence. Start with doing simple procedures to build trust with the patient. Gradually they will trust you more and more and then Word of Mouth will do the rest.
Ask the reception to book you new patients, that don't have any prior experience at the practice.
Draw up a contract that states how new patients should be divided between the doctors at the practice.
