Contracted Filling/Unexplained Pain

-Shallow cavity filled on the surface of molar 18.
-Two days later, severe irritation felt on side of tongue deep towards the back next to the tooth. Consistent pain comes and goes, lasted 6 months now.
-Dull ache in jaw behind tooth, also on and off for 6 months.
-Referred sensitivity/mild irritation in #19 for 3+ months.
-Tooth surface feels like it changes, sometimes more concave or convex. (Swelling feeling when other pain is present)

Endodontist suggested the filling could have contracted or shrunk (mentioned C-Factor).

Can shrinkage in a shallow filling or a filling that did not cure properly cause irritation on the side of the tongue, dull aching in the jaw, referred pain to another tooth nearby, and the feeling that the tooth changes shape?

Any other thoughts what is causing pain in all of these areas to last for months and months? Remedies?
