Hello, so for awhile now my gums have been swollen around this one broken tooth. It hurts randomly for a couple days every few months and does bleed a lot whenever I brush my teeth. My only concern is money to get the problem fixed. I'm just looking for some advice on what's going on and how this can be taken care of.

The third tooth from back needs a root canal treatment and a crown. You will probably need a post and core,to get it crowned. Before all these,you need to assess the condition of the root and peri apex of the same tooth,by taking an x-ray.

I suggest you not to delay the treatment,as it may need an extraction if the root portion gets decayed to an extend that is not fit for an RCT.
