Severe pain tooth 32 - please help?

The last tooth bottom which has a crown on for few years has throbbing sharp pain.
I think it’s 32.

It also hurts when I put pressure on it with my finger. It also seems like gum is irritated too.

This just started yesterday but last Thursday I had full bite wing x rays, panaromic and cleaning for every 3 months periodontal care. X rays came out clear. Why is that?

On call dentist prescribed Amoxicillin 500mg.

What can be wrong here?

Might be too early to see signs on the x-rays of the root canal failing. Or it could be that you you bit something hard and injured the PDL of the tooth. For this you could try any anti-inflammatory medicine. Also make sure that you floss regularly around the tooth. Any food entrapped around the gum area, could feel like toothache.
Try the antibiotics, with anti-inflammatory medicine and rinse with salt water, and see if it clears up.
