Hello, can anyone tell what is wrong with this root canal?

My friend has been sent to an endo guy to get his root canal done but our family dentist is refusing to do it as it is not good enough, can anyone tell me why?

I see some potential challenges with fixing this tooth because there is very little of it left, but that has nothing to do with the root canal which seems fine to me based on just one x-ray that is not of optimal resolution (eg I can't tell for sure, but the root canal seems well done.).
