Fistula on a baby tooth after trauma

A child comes to the practice with a fistula. Does it require antibiotics before extraction, or can it be extracted during the same appointment?

If there is no significant swelling associated with the tooth as well, I would extract it during the same vist, if the child is co-operative.
If there is swelling, I would give a course of antibiotics first, otherwise the local anaesthetic does not always numb the tooth completely.
