First time Extraction tomorrow

Tomorrow I am having my first extraction ever! I have the biggest phobia of needles so I am petrified of having this done and was hoping someone could help with how to try and overcome this fear!
So many people have told me it doesn’t hurt and that I can ask for numbing gel before being injected which I plan to do, but I am terrified and just have no idea what to expect!
The tooth being removed is a broken wisdom tooth at the top left hand side.

Any experiences or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Top wisdom teeth usually tend to come out fairly easily. The injection given at the top, is usually also less painful. The topical will help as well. You might only feel a small sting in the palate area.
Ask the dentist to explain every step. Sometimes it helps to ease anxiety levels if you know what to expect.
