Hi all,
On Wednesday evening I started getting horrible pain on the bottom right side of my mouth, a headache and 2 of the teeth were in constant agony (but they didn’t hurt to touch). Went to the emergency dentist on Thursday and she said I had a gum infection and proscribed me 5 days of metronidazole. I’ve been taking it for 2 days now and the pain throughout my mouth has stopped being so bad. However, last night one of the teeth on the bottom right of my mouth has started to hurt to touch (my tongue is OK but touching with my finger makes a sharp pain and biting down really hurts). Looking for advice on whether I need to go back to the dentist to get this sorted or is it likely to disappear from the antibiotics?
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Tim
