Red cut / line on roof of mouth

Hi! My name is Emma, and I’m 28 years old. Recently I’ve noticed this red mark on the roof of my mouth. It almost looks like it’s in the shape of a line. Red and irritated. It hurts but it’s not unbearable pain. It seemed to occur after a weekend of heavy drinking. What could this be? I thought maybe an ulcer but it doesn’t have to typical appearance of one. Any advice is greatly appreciated - thanks!
