Hi

I got a new veneer put in by my dentist last year, since then it has fallen out 5 times. They suggested I get a new one put in at a charge of £700. I won't be getting a new one put in as already have a new one in my mouth from last year. Obviously somethings wrong with the one they put in plus I wouldn't fee confident getting anything from then again. Should I make a complaint to some dental board and get a refund for the one they put in and try another dentist?

Does it fall out by itself or when you eat something? Veneers on the front teeth are very prone to fracture and dislodgement, especially if you are not careful. I usually insist that my patient wear a night guard to help protect them.

it is reasonable for you to feel dissatisfied given the repeated issues you’ve experienced with your veneer. Taking steps to communicate effectively with your current dentist while also exploring options for filing a complaint can help ensure that you receive appropriate care moving forward.
it would be prudent to first attempt resolution through direct communication with your dentist before escalating matters further through formal complaints or seeking refunds.
If you decide to seek care from another dentist after addressing this issue, make sure to choose one who comes highly recommended or is well-reviewed by other patients.
Since you mentioned that getting a new veneer would cost £700, weigh this against potential refunds or compensation from your current dentist.
