You might need to check the occlusion of the filling. It might be too high, and then needs to be filed down a little bit. If the pain persists after this, I would suggest taking an x-ray to determine how deep the filling is. It might be close to the nerve of the tooth.

Thanks for the reply, just went had x ray and had old filling removed and new one added it was VERY close to the nerve 1mm away, However Im now in THROBBING pain that last 5-10mins when I eat somthingm on that tooth like a jelly sweet. the exact same pain as before when the filling fell out. Hot and cold is better than it was before, banging my teeth together is fine no pain. pressing the bottom of the tooth where filling is no pain, Its only when eating somthing, Is this normal or not, I had it done 7 hours ago, Ive had MANY filling before and never had anything like this, thank you

It might be that the nerve or periodontal ligament was irritated. You can take some anti-inflammatory medicine and see if it helps. Normal post operative pain with a filling should subside after about 2 or 3 days. If the pain persists and the filling was indeed very close to the nerve, there is a chance that you have irreversible pulpitis and then a root canal might be indicated.
