Can you get composite veneers after having porcelain veneers

I got talked into getting two porcelain veneers when I was 18 on my two upper laterals due having peg laterals. I wasn’t very educated at the time veneers were a permanent process. I remember the dentist saying he wanted to do veneers over the bonding due to the gaps in my teeth being uneven, and he wasn’t sure how he’d get it to look even with bonding. He trusted lab made veneers more looking better. Years down the road, I’ve noticed the color of my veneers are off and do not match the rest of my teeth. I’ve also grown to hate the size of my veneers and really miss my old small teeth. I’m debating to get my veneers redone to match the color of the rest of my teeth and make them much smaller to seem more natural and like my old teeth. My question is though, I don’t want to risk having to take more tooth enamel. Would it be better to do composite instead? I asked how much enamel was removed via email through my dentist and they said they did not have that information. I just want my teeth to look natural again and not so big and off color. But I want to protect my real teeth as much as I can. Also, is it possible to just leave off the veneer completely if there wasn’t to much prepped? For reference I included photo before ( not sure if the tooth was prepped yet or not) and an after.

Composite veneers will stain more often and will need to be polished or replaced more often than porcelain veneers. Composite veneers are also weaker than porcelain and can break more easily.
You can leave it off if you want, but in my opinion, your teeth look far better in the second photo than the first photo.
I would recommend just removing the veneer and replacing it with a new veneer that matched the new color of your teeth.
