Is bacteria, leading to an infection of a pontic, more likely to accumulate under a bridge made of porcelain or one made of PFM?
I was informed that because a bridge made from porcelain is built by a computer, from a 3D model, it is free of errors in its fit, unlike a PFM bridge, which is made by hand and therefore would not be a perfect fit, and therefore would be more likely to lead to infection and a need for a root canal.
