What do you think this is??

Does anybody have any idea what this might be.... Went to the dentist today who said he couldn't see anything (?!) but gave me antibiotics incase there was any infection... Looks to me like a small cut which has got infected... Do you agree or is it something else? (Very painful, verging on abcess like)

That may be an aphthous ulcer and usually disappears in a week or two. Antibiotics will not help this. You should never take antibiotics unless you are almost certain you have an infection.
