Possible Abscess

I have a few teeth that recently broken in my upper and bottom left side of mouth. I have been experiencing pain on and off with cold and eating. I have noticed some swelling to the left side and my lymph nodes are swollen on that side. I went to urgent care and was prescribed Clindamycin. I do not have a dental appointment for another week. I am worried that it could get worse in the next week. Any advice?
