Need help- wisdom teeth extraction 4 weeks ago now pressure and hard area along jawline. No pain.

My son had his wisdom teeth removed 4 weeks ago. About two weeks ago he said he had pressure along the jaw and into his ear. No pain. He feels like he needs to pop his ear but it won't pop. We just noticed when he clinches his teeth there is a hard area on the jawline compared to the other side of his face.
