Why is Bill Dorfman Using Zoom?

I read that Bill Dorfman uses Zoom for his bleaching method. Why isn'
he using Rod Kurthy's technique? Many have reported that they ge
better results using Rod's technique.

Bill Dorfman is the ORIGINAL dental entrepreneur, well kinda. H
founded the company, Discus, which makes bleaching products, and o
course manufactures the Zoom light and armamentarium.

Zoom is the light-activated bleaching system which, from many reports

As an aside, Bill Dorfman got into a hassle with Gina Dorfman (Mopsy)
no relation, at DentalTown because he made known to patients, the
could acquire more of his products directly from his website
Unfortunately, the price he offered the patients is below the price h
sold to the dentists for, who must also place a markup onto th
product!

So once the patient catches wind of this, there is trouble afoot.

I didn't know Bill Dorfman founded Discuss.

Why is there trouble afoot? That is not illegal to offer products to
patients at a lower price is it? Why can't he do this?

You mean dentists will get mad...or will they try to sue Dorfman or
what?

...Actually it makes one wonder what the markup is on this stuff if he
can afford to flex the pricing so much...

I still think Crest Whitestrips will be the hottest ticket item for the
masses (for those who are caught up in the bleaching craze).

This really kills me. Aren't they required to reference studies to back
up their claims??? I checked the website... it says "in one study...blah
blah blah"
Then the one study is not even referenced!

How do they get away with that?

are soft studies often financed by the companies
themselves. When I complain about that, often
on DentalTown, there is little or no response.

If one mentions standard deviation (concerning data),
many people say, "Hey Whot?? Whazzat??"

You are too funny. They known what a SD is.
They probably thought you were just trying
to be obnoxious.

It is unfortunate. You were so misunderstood
on DT! Most misundertsand the intent of your
humor.

The funny thing is, it is more acceptable to be crude,
degrading and bashing than humorous on DT. At least
I saw more tolerance for that behavior than tolerance
for you and your posts.

I think it is a matter of posting too much and
interrupting flow. It is ok to be "bad" if you
do not do it too much... It is worse to be
frequently "interruptive" than "degrading, mean
and spewing ad hominens" once in awhile.

Just a guess.
