What will happen in this scenario

One of my front teeth and a shooting pain from the bottom of it upwards into mouth when touched or any amount of reasonable pressure put on it

Granted it is my fault because it was caused by grinding them. I can get by for now with it

So what happens from there and are there any home remedies to keep it steady until I get a dental appointment

Try and take some anti-inflammatory medicine and stick to soft foods. Best is to see a dentist as soon as possible, so that the tooth can be evaluated and an x-ray can be taken.

Yeah just waiting to get date for that now.
Worst case scenario mentioned to me was tooth replacement but it genuinely doesn't feel that bad

Might be that the dentine is exposed or that there is some nerve involvement, which might indicate a root canal to be performed.

Yeah a few people I've been talking to reckon it's nerve damage. All OK today so far but in last hour with some acidic food it's flare again and can't really be touched with much pressure

Earlier today I could eat and drink as normal and felt nothing.

Cold acidic sets its off the worst
