What way to fix a missing tooth?

I'm 23 years old, still under my parents dental insurance so money isn't exactly an issue for this. My tooth number 13 (I had braces so I have no 12) had to be pulled after my dentist ruined it while performing a filling. I have a wide set smile so you can see the gap and I am trying to figure out what way to fix it. My mother doesn't want the regular fixed bridge since then theyd be messing with my eye tooth, she wants me to get the implant but I am nervous about my sinuses being messed up along with the other things that could go wrong. But the bridges make me nervous too that more teeth would be ruined and that they don't last long. Flipper is definitely out as a permanent solution. What are the pros and cons of each, and what do you suggest I do?
