Treatment Plan

I had a first appointment with a new dentist today, and was given a treatment plan with prices. I would like to know if these prices are realistic. I have Sjogren's Snydrome.

Today I was charged $84.98 for 3000 Oral Cancer Screening and $5.00 Osha sterlization. I would have been charged for the panaramic films, but she ran out of film. Next, they want $491.65 for Periodontal scaling, Irrigation, Oraquix-1 cartridge, Desensitiz, and floride .63, Osha sterilization, for my left upper and lower side. It would be $1000 for my whole mouth, and after this, we would start the cavities, crownes and root canals.

I would get a second opinion on the scaling before procedding. I have heard from many patients who's office has preformed this unnecessarily. You may simply be able to turn your oral hygeine around without the need for scaling just yet.
