Tooth Decay Experience Need Advice

I never thought tooth decay would be such a big issue for me, but over the past year I’ve had several cavities pop up despite brushing twice a day. At first, it started with some sensitivity to cold drinks, which I ignored, thinking it would go away. Eventually, I noticed small dark spots on a couple of teeth, and my dentist confirmed that they were cavities that needed fillings. The process of getting them treated wasn’t too bad, but I can’t help worrying about what I might be doing wrong in my daily routine to keep them from coming back. I really want to prevent more problems in the future, so I could use some advice on what has worked for others in managing tooth decay.

How often do you go to see the dentist? Do you go for 6 monthly check-ups? Do you brush twice a day, floss everyday and use a mouthwash as an adjunct? Are you eating and drinking a lot of sugary foods or drinks? All these play a role in cavity development.
