Too much tooth structure removed? Before and after pics

I'm having veneers placed on my upper 10 anterior teeth, and crowns on my lower 10 anterior teeth. It seems like my dentist removed an awful lot if tooth structure, but I don't really know.
Could some of you with experience tell me if this looks normal. I'm concerned.
