Thought of future travel and dental work

I went to a bad "back alley" dentist in my late 20's. Had no clue what was going on and was given 8 fillings, previously had no dental work. But the scary thing is they all fell out after 5 years. I have always loved travel but it really upsets me that I cannot travel because of the fear of fillings failing again. I would love to hop on a plane and go where I wanted. But I don't even want to leave the town that I live in because I have a really good dentist now. But in the future its just so complicated. Also one of my fillings, he used the air abrasion tool. So I want a dentist who is trained in that as well, and that can be hard to find. Should I just give up on the idea of international travel? The whole thing and the fact that my teeth were fine prior to the fillings is so emotionally draining. Just looking for someone to talk to about this.

I don't understand? Why don't you want to travel exactly? Fillings don't fail when you travel. And just make sure everything is in order before you plan on any extended trips?

I had a filling fall out in Spain. But this is why I am worried about future travel.

Google office names and read reviews, all though take most with a grain of salt if offices are poorly reviewed it should speak enough info on them. Could be a rare occurrence where the doctor messed up the smoothness or you just bit something sticky and it popped out, fillings aren't permanent. Make sure they use bite paper and make adjustments.
