Hi I noticed this on the roof of my wife's mouth today. She has apparently been completely unaware of it and i noticed it today. Some tenderness she says when pushes woth tounge. Cant recall specifically burning her mouth with food but has said she has eaten food that could have been cooler before eating.

Difficult to say definitively without a biopsy in this case. It could be a case of orofacial granulomatosis, could be trauma related or could even be a case of HPV infection in the hard palate. I would suggest that she sees an oral surgeon if it does not disappear within 2 weeks. If it was trauma related,it should start clearing up within that time period-alternatively she would need a biopsy to be done.
