I finally went in to the dentist after a little over a year and a half and was told I have 6 cavities before this I have only have 1 cavity in my life and I am only 22 I am also a senior in college. I feel like crap I have always taken very good care of my teeth I was very shocked I brush 2x a day and I started flossing and using mouthwash. I also have been drinking more water. I wanted to now if their are others out their that have been through this as well at my age and if they have worse problems then I do also is this situation common and can I still claim I have good teeth if all my teeth are straight despite this problem also are their others who have seen a sudden increase in cavities during college Thank you

How regularly do you see your dentist? Do you go every 6 months for a check up? I always explain it to my patients like this- If a human baby can be formed in 9 months, a small cavity can become a large cavity in a lot less time.
