Scared stiff

Hi. Yesterday I was given a panoramic x ray at the dentist. This was to be sent to the dental hospital as they need to extract a root. This morning I had a call from the receptionist to arrange another appointment for the week after next. Apparently the dentist wants to "discuss findings." As a sufferer of generalised anxiety disorder my imagination has gone into overdrive worrying about what this could possibly mean. I feel sick and can't stop thinking about it.
Can you offer me a crumb of comfort?

Don't stress. Most likely he just wants to go through the procedural steps, so that you know what is to be expected.
