Root canal on nhs

I visited my dentist today and was told I needed root canal on my back bottom tooth or I could have the tooth taken out, I would rather save the tooth but my dentist told me they would not do root canal on the nhs and I’d have to pay privately £650 making an issue with it being because it is a back tooth and complex is this right as I have previously had root canal on the nhs years ago

They should do root canal treatment on the NHS. Ask your dentist to refer you to a dental hospital.
