What's the significance of the bottom tooth breaking if core build up has been used with crowns to a unfixable state? Usually if a crown snaps off is the first time a case of adding build up and recementing?

I have placed a post in such a case, where the margins are still intact, and then re-cemented with a Glass-ionomer cement. That usually does the trick for me and lasts a long while

Better to make new post and core and then new crown. If the tooth has cracked off at gum level, I would go a step further and make an indirect core with at least 2 posts. This is not commonly done by GP dentists unless they are "old school" like me or by prosthodontists. That was our solution in the days before implants were available.
The other option is to consider if you'd be better off extracting the tooth and placing an implant.
