Red patch on gum

Hi folks, I've had a sore, red patch on my gum for over a week. I'm not sure if I burnt it with hot food, but it hasn't improved. I'm not feeling great either. Is it likely to be an abscess? Thanks.

Does not look like an abscess. Does look like it is trauma related. I would suggest try and rinse with luke-warm salt water. If it does not becomes smaller, I would suggest going to a dentist so that possible teeth related causes can be ruled out.
