Question regarding stitches following wisdom tooth extraction

Hi I'm looking for some advice please, I had an impacted abscessed wisdom tooth removed a week ago today, they said the stitches will come out by themselves. One of the stitches in my cheek has broken but I have no idea how it's going to cone out as she appeared to be sewing one huge piece of cotton through my jaw and cheek. If they haven't give me an appointment to go back to take them our will they be dissolvable? I don't think they will come out on their own and I'm worried the tissue will grow over them

The stitches should dissolve on its own. If the pain is not that bad anymore, you can gently brush over the stitch with your toothbrush. This will cause it to break and come loose naturally.
