Porcelain crown to fix overjet?

I was interested in knowing if a porcelain crown could fix an overjet in tooth #9? I would love to get braces again, but have root resorption and can't. So I was wondering if a porcelain crown would be a good option to fix my over jet that I absolutely hate.
