She’s now 20 yrs old & getting very self conscious about her smile. She’s also noticed the front teeth being 'pushed' out more. At her recent consultation with her dentist, he said her wisdom teeth are very high & probably will never come down & are causing all the problems by pushing everything forward ? Does this make sense ?..I think she inherited a high palate or arch..
So she is now embarking on “Invisalign” to fix the issues.
Can someone please advise or support the condition & remedy please.
Thanks guys.

It is not true at all that wisdom teeth have any effect on the positioning of front teeth. This is a very old myth. However, she might well be advised to have them out if they present a risk of damaging the adjacent teeth.
From the limited photos you show, I would suggest that your daughter go to a specialist orthodontist - that does not look like a suitable case for Invisalign.

Thank you Sir. Your advice is very much appreciated & thanks so much for your time in reply.
She has another consultation in a few days. I’m hoping she can provide me with more specific details from her dentist as to what can be achieved & the root cause..
As with any procedure, i guess all i can do is to way up all the advice & research gathered to make an informed decision on her / our behalf. I really couldn’t afford the $ 6K + for braces years back, but will do whatever i can now.
Forever grateful, what a wonderful site this is.

Hello,
If the teeth start emerging"outwards" at the age of 20 -21 which is ironically also the age of wisdom teeth to erupt. They, however, do not have this tremendous effect on teeth to push them outward. You should take your daughter to an orthodontist for the right treatment plan.
Invisalign treatment works well with some cases but can be made sure only after preliminary results are supportive
She needs to get a cephalogram and an OPG to plan treatment. Also visiting a dentist will be a much better option as they can check the patient in person and see the findings which are not visible on photos.
