Pain to tapping after 10h - Google says normal, but never happened to me with successful RCT before

To any patients here who've had root canals, or dentists with their empirical knowledge, is hurting/sensitivity to tapping a sign of infection or that I need endodontic retreatment?

Google says it's normal for the first few days, but I've done quite a few root canals, and the ones that get good never hurt to tapping at any stage, only the one that ended up getting infected, which went from this sensitivity to tapping to proper infection pain after 5 days.

I'm 10 hours post-op (pulpectomy only), I think it's even gotten a bit worse over the last few hours.

Man, I really wasn't expecting this, a front tooth and done by a specialist...

It can be normal. Every tooth is different. If the pain does not subside, sometimes a second phase of treatment is required, before the root canal is completed.
