Opposing tooth is rubbing off the inside of crown. How do I speak to my dentist so he'll know to adjust it?

Crown pic 1.jpg

The palatal cusp, the inside plane, it appears more heavily scratched in this pic?

When I tilt my head to the right and bite down, the opposing tooth rubs off this then slides into the fully bit down position, and with repetition (such as when chewing via the rotational motion), it causes throbbing.

But as in the pic, there's no blue lines showing up when I do this with articulation paper.
Only the single contact point as visible.

How can I convey to my dentist what the problem is, or is it possible for him to adjust it without markings from articulating paper?

It's been mentioned to me that there could be "articulating wax" that would mark up the problematic area, if litmus paper doesn't work?

Or "high spot paste"?

I'm hoping the prosthodontist has them, but I've only seen him use blue litmus paper or a "shim" to gauge tooth contact.

I'm open to other suggestions for how to address this.
I can't quite understand how no matter how I try, I can't get my own litmus paper to stain the tooth appropriately either, even though the sliding contact is unquestionable.
