One front tooth longer.

Hi everybody, I have one front tooth that is longer than the other and lately it has really been bugging me. I asked my dentist what my options were and he said that he didn't recommend filing it down because then it wouldn't match the other teeth next to it. He said it would probably have to be a lot more complicated and expensive than that to make work. He mentioned getting braces again which I do not want. What do you guys thing? Are there any other options? Ideally it would be something that isn't too expensive and can be done quicker than braces because I will be leaving the country to study soon and something like braces just wouldn't work. Any advice?

I've attached a picture so you can see.

Thanks ahead of time!
