New crown cracking sound

I had a crown fitted yesterday on a tooth at the lower side of my mouth (sorry don’t remember the names of the teeth!). I’ve eaten carefully since but tonight when I was eating some pizza I kept hearing a loud cracking sound coming from the tooth. I’ve checked it and it doesn’t seem cracked, just wondered if this was normal as the tooth settles.

I have also noticed a slight black line at the base of the tooth towards the front. Does this mean there’s a gap that shouldnt be there?

I’m not experiencing any pain but still getting used to the feel of something new in my mouth!

Give it a few days, and if the sound remains, it means that the crown might need to be adjusted. The line that you see there might only be the margin of the crown, where it meets the tooth. The dentist should have taken an x-ray after placing the crown, in order to confirm a proper seal.
