Lateral Incisor Trauma Complications Unsure If Extraction Needed

About a year and a half ago, I suffered dental trauma from an accidental hit to the face. My upper central incisor fractured and was treated with a root canal. The adjacent upper lateral incisor was knocked inward but not treated — I repositioned it myself with my tongue. Since then, the lateral incisor has gradually migrated back toward the position it was knocked into. It now prevents me from closing my bite properly, and I’m experiencing significant gum recession and sensitivity. At night, especially when lying down, I can’t bring my teeth together, which has been affecting my sleep. That tooth also seems to be placing strain on the neighboring root canal-treated incisor. One orthodontist suggested trying aligners, but another provider mentioned likely needing extraction and an implant. I’m also planning to have all four wisdom teeth removed soon.

Given these symptoms, is there any viable way to save the lateral incisor, or does this sound like a clear case for extraction and implant placement?
