Large bump on tongue, what is it?

I noticed a small bump about a month or so ago, it has now gotten larger, raised and somewhat painful. What is this?

This could be a traumatic fibroma or pyogenic granuloma. I would suggest going to a dentist or oral surgeon. The lesion will be excised and sent for a histological evaluation to confirm diagnoses
