It is normal to experience some level of discomfort after a root canal especially when tapping on the treated tooth monitoring your symptoms and managing pain appropriately are key steps in ensuring proper healing.

Don't be afraid, it's normal to feel some pain when you tap the tooth after having a root canal treatment . The only thing you have to do is to keep a good flow of communication with your dentist. As , the dentist would recommend you some good dental tips to counter your pain.

Basically the sedation subsided and pain is the result of the procedure that took place during the sedation. The pain should ideally subside with painkiller and antibiotic if prescribed, if not then do inform your dentist, it's the overhanging filling that needs a bit of grinding.
