Is this an infection? What is it?

I had my wisdom teeth removed about 3 weeks ago, and the bottom right side had a hole after 2 weeks. I just noticed this white thing inside today. Is it infected? It doesn't hurt much, but it is a little tender. I have rinsed, so I dont think its food... Any help?

Looks like food. Try and get it out with a cotton bud. Don't worry if you can't, the healing otherwise looks good, so it'll eventually come out anyway.
