I found this small dark pit/indent on my front tooth near the gum line. It's the size of a needle point in real life. Very small.
No pain or sensitivity.
I don't feel it when I run my tongue over it; I only know that it's pitted/indented by running a dental explorer across the tooth. The explorer dips down and snags on it.
Is this a cavity? And if so, can it still be reversed or halted with great hygiene and a high-fluoride toothpaste like Prevident 5000?
Or is getting it drilled my only option at this point?
