In this infected?

I just turned 21 and recently just got braces and I was given a removable exapander for my lower jaw to go along with them but part of it is digging into my gums (circled in the picture). I had them on for 2 weeks now And every time I remove it to eat or brush my teeth it’s bleeding a little bit. What should I do? My next appointment isn’t for another 4 weeks

If you can't get in earlier, then just don't wear the expander.
