I’m thinking of replacing my missing molar

I’ve a bottom molar was extracted three years before , now my wisdom tooth behind that molar moved front. My dentist ( Pearl Dental ) in Burlington suggested me to open this gap using braces and put an implant in place of missing molar, or else by using braces push the two teeth behind the gap towards the front to fill the gap. I think the second option is far better than the first one and it is more cost effective. What you think? Am I right? Any suggestions?
